Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive team. The COO will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the company, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the successful execution of projects and services. The ideal candidate must have a deep knowledge of ALL sub-sectors of OIL&GAS both downstream, upstream, Midstream and Trading, LNG etc. and will oversee the Oil and Gas business Unit of the organization as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Preferable a Nigeria or Indian Nationality


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic leadership and direction to all operational functions of the company.
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to drive business growth and achieve organizational goals.
  3. Collaborate with other executives to develop and execute company-wide strategies, policies, and initiatives.
  4. Oversee the day-to-day operations, including production, logistics, supply chain management, and project execution.
  5. Optimize operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
  7. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the organization.
  8. Lead and mentor a high-performing operational team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  9. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance and track progress towards goals.
  10. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align operational activities with business objectives and revenue targets.
  11. Identify and evaluate opportunities for business expansion, strategic partnerships, and new market penetration.
  12. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to stay ahead of market developments.
  13. Represent the company in meetings with clients, partners, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  14. Drive a culture of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across all operational activities.
  15. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors, summarizing operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.


Candidate Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Must have extensive network within d Industry, knowledge of d Industry and d play book of d industry as well repositioning d companies for growth and strategic positioning
  3. Proven experience (10-15 years) in operational leadership roles within the oil & gas industry, with a focus on energy servicing and project management.
  4. Strong understanding of oil & gas operations, including drilling, production, exploration, and field services.
  5. Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
  7. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
  8. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
  10. Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  11. Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
  12. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
