Job Summary:
Our client seeks an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Corporate Finance (M&A) to join its dynamic team in the banking sector. This role is critical to the execution of the bank’s inorganic growth strategy, including mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and divestitures. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end transaction processes, conduct deep financial and strategic analysis, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage M&A transactions from origination to execution, including target identification, valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and integration.
- Develop robust financial models, investment appraisals, and valuation analyses using techniques such as DCF, comparable, and precedent transactions.
- Conduct in-depth strategic and financial analysis of potential acquisitions or investment opportunities in the financial services industry.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality board-level materials, investment memos, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including investment banks, legal advisors, consultants, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate transactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Treasury, Risk, Strategy, Compliance, etc.) to assess transaction risks and support execution.
- Support capital raising initiatives, including equity and debt financing, where required.
- Track post-transaction performance and monitor integration activities to ensure strategic and financial objectives are met.
- Maintain deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, competitive landscape, and market developments impacting the banking sector.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline. MBA, CFA, ACA, or relevant certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or strategic advisory—preferably within or supporting the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and closing complex financial transactions.
- Strong understanding of bank valuation, regulatory capital implications, and deal structuring in a regulated environment.
